About Children Aid South Sudan

Background

South Sudan is the youngest nation in the world having gained its independence in 2011 year. Given the history of conflict and resistance that led to independence, the social and economic lives of the people were adversely affected, especially, the children and women.

Children Aid South Sudan (CASS) is a National Non-Governmental, none political, not for profit Organization with focuses realizing the full potential of children. CASS contribution is towards improving the quality of life in the communities with emphasis on children and women. CASS strives to reduce and eventually eliminate absolute poverty, illiteracy and social inequalities in the south Sudan communities. To address the South Sudan’s humanitarian and developmental needs, programs like; in Health and Nutrition, Education, Protection and Gender equality, Livelihood and Agriculture. CASS main mandate is to assist Children to realize their full potential, by supporting and strengthening local institutions and community members to respond effectively to their numerous social-economic challenge

MEET THE SENIOR TEAM

GILBERT DRICI

Executive Director

Gilbert holds a Master’s of Science in Public Health, Master’s in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid and Masters of Business Administration in Management. A Public Health specialist with over 16 years’ hands on experience in health, nutrition and education programming in development, recovery and complex emergency contexts. Gilbert is a focused, results-oriented professional with 16 years of experience. He is a team leader with very strong organizational and managerial skill.

OKUGA FRANCO

Director of Programs

Graduated with Bachelor of Science in Public Health and with a technical expertise in project management. His humanitarian program experiences span for more than 14 years in both National and International NGOs. He has managed multi donor funding projects especially in health for examples UNICEF, HPF, MTDF, WB, DRA etc and produced quality results. He is trained in project planning and management including M&E framework for better project programming and technical analysis.

Francis is pursuing an MS in Public Health and is in his final semester 

REV. FR. JIMMY MILLA AVENTORE

Chairperson Board of Directors

He has served as Assistant Parish Priest in Kajo Keji and as Parish Priest in Rumbek Diocese. With Masters in Gregorian University, with Bachelors from Ken University and Team University including Diploma’s from Makerere University, Namugongo Univerity and St Paul Major Seminary. He has excellent leadership and organizational skills.
